CamGuard by Tiers hides your cam from greys, anonymous viewers, and unauthorized bots, and now also silences chat messages from users without cam access. Only the user tiers you choose can see your video, plus anyone who tips to unlock. Every access change is recorded in a timestamped audit log. **Please read "What this app can and cannot do" before installing.**

## Description

**CamGuard by Tiers + Audit Log (v1.1)**

Protect your stream from unauthorized recording and anonymous scrapers. CamGuard flips the usual moderation logic: instead of trying to block bad actors you can't identify, it hides your cam from *everyone* and grants viewing access only to a whitelist built automatically from user tiers you trust.

### What this app CAN do

- Hide your video from greys, anonymous viewers, and any user tier you exclude
- Silence chat messages from users without cam access (NEW in v1.1) — stops harassment from greys even though they can still enter the room
- Grant access automatically by tier (Dark Purple, Light Purple, Dark Blue, optionally Light Blue, Fan Club, Moderators) and by tip-to-unlock
- Keep a timestamped audit log of every access grant and revoke, with reasons — a traceable evidence list for DMCA takedowns if leaked content appears

### What this app CANNOT do — read before installing

Be aware of these limits before deciding if CamGuard fits your room. They are platform behavior, not bugs, and no app can work around them:

1. **PRIVATE SHOWS ARE DISABLED while the guard is active.** The guard uses the platform's hidden-cam (limitcam) state, and the platform disables Private Show requests for ALL users — including high tiers with tokens — while the room is in that state. If you accept privates, you must run `/guardoff` before and `/guardon` after each one. The app reminds you of this at startup. If Private Shows are a major income source, consider using the native room setting "require tokens to view" instead of running this app permanently, and use CamGuard only for special shows.
2. **No app can stop anyone from entering the room.** Greys and anonymous users will still appear in your room and count. v1.1 mutes their chat, but removing them from the room entirely requires manual bans or a room password.
3. **Anonymous viewers are invisible to apps.** They never appear in the user list and cannot be individually targeted — they simply never gain cam access while the guard is on.
4. **After unlocking via tip, viewers may need to refresh the page (F5)** for the video to load. The player only re-checks access on page load. The app tells tippers this automatically.
5. **Anyone with legitimate access can still screen-record.** What this app does is make recording cost money and identity — eliminating anonymous mass scrapers and giving you a traceable access list — not make recording impossible. Nothing can.

For maximum protection, combine this app with the site's native room settings: require tokens to view/chat, region blocking, and room password.

### Good to know

- The whitelist and audit log are session-scoped: they reset when the app restarts. Run `/auditlog full` before ending your session to keep a copy.
- Mods are never muted, even if not on the whitelist.
- A user who unlocks via tip is automatically exempt from chat muting.
